Outpatient Mental Health Clinic(OMHC)

Vesta’s licensed mental health professionals such as psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors, marriage and family therapists, and rehabilitation specialists provide clinical services to our clients. Members of our professional staff are carefully selected and evaluated. In addition to Spanish-speaking therapists we have therapist who are fluent in Mandarin and Taiwanese.

Vesta offers Outpatient mental health clinic services either a) in conjunction to our Day Program services (PRP) or b) as a single service offered at our Outpatient only (Horizon) clinics.

Our Clinics Provide the Following Services

  • Individual, Family, Couples and Group Therapy
  • Off-site and In-home Therapy
  • Psychiatric Assessment and Medication Management
  • Psycho-educational Programs: Parenting, Anger Management, Social Skills, Dealing with difficult Adolescents.

Vesta's Professionals use the following modalities:

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Family systems therapy (structural, strategic, narrative, collaborative, EFT)
  • Expressive Therapies (play, art, and recreation)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Psychodrama

Uninsured Clients: Vesta accepts uninsured clients in the state of Maryland if

  1. You have low-income and a valid social security number and meet any of the following criteria:
    • having been released from a psychiatric hospital in the last three months
    • having been released from jail in the last three months
    • having been treated in the public mental health system in the last two years
    • being homeless and seeking refuge in a shelter

Psychotherapy and/or medication may help if you are experiencing any of the symptoms listed above or something similar. VESTA can teach you how to handle stress, whether on the job or at home. We can show you more productive ways to communicate with those you love; help you recover from depression; manage anxieties, and master your phobias.

VESTA can teach you more relaxed and effective ways of parenting, and help your children adjust to divorce and other changes in their lives. VESTA can also assist you in dealing with chronically mentally ill family members.
