Outpatient Mental Health Clinics (OMHC)

Vesta offers therapy and medication management to clients who are experiencing mental health symptoms. Our team of therapists and psychiatric nurse practitioners assist the client in the development of a customized plan to meet the individual’s goals and needs.  

 

We work with clients on how to handle stress, communicate more effectively and manage their moods.  We provide more intensive service if they are hearing voices, feeling detached from their life, or are having disturbing thoughts.

 

Through our client-centered approach to treatment for adults and children, our therapists and medication prescribers offer services including:

  • Diagnostic evaluation

  • Individual and group therapy

  • Medication management

  • Substance use assessment and 

  • Services for co-occurring disorders

Referrals & Eligibility 

Interested clients can complete our referral form and submit it with a copy of your ID and your insurance card.  We accept Maryland Medicaid, Medicare, and self-pay clients.  Vesta accepts uninsured clients in the state of Maryland.  Please speak to our intake coordinator for more information.

Substance use

Vesta offers various levels of outpatient care for clients with substance use disorders.

The focus of treatment may include:

  • Symptom management

  • Relapse prevention

  • Coping skills

  • Substance Use Recovery Plans

 

Our services start with an assessment of client need. To receive these services, clients will complete a substance use assessment which will determine the level and type of care to meet the client’s needs.

The various levels of care include:

Clients meet with a clinician who provides individualized, person-centered treatment for co-occurring disorders.

Group Discussion

Outpatient Groups

Provide a supportive environment as a complement to individual therapy or as a standalone service. This can be a help to clients at any stage of their recovery journey.

Mountain Peak

Intensive Outpatient Program

Offers a higher level of care for individuals who struggle with drug use. Participants meet 9 hours per week to engage in group support and engage in weekly individual therapy. IOP is offered at the Lanham location only.
